A day in the Blue Mountains

The scenery in the blue mountains is awe inspiring. It is an area of exceptional beauty.

  • take in the splendour of Echo Point when we walk the giant stairway to the three sisters (if the stairs are too intimidating we can still get very close without attempting the descent and ascent).

  • experience the natural grandeur of a world listed heritage park at an array of vantage points which include Sublime Point, Lincoln’s Rock, Govetts Leap and Evans Lookouts.

  • stopover at the quaint blue mountains village of Leura or Blackheath

  • visit the exquisite Hydro Majestic Hotel which was built for retailing magnate, Mark Foy. This hotel contains a splendid mix of architectural styles ranging from Edwardian to art deco and first opened its doors 1904.

  • Drop in and have lunch with a local, who is fortunate enough to have a deck with panoramic views of the valley – this is a unique experience offered only by Sydney Nimble Tours. This option is weather dependent. As an alternative we can have lunch at a local café or restaurant.

  • Float like a butterfly (lol) when you have an airborne experience in the Skyway and enjoy the thrill of riding the steepest incline railway in the world whilst taking in wonderful views at Scenic World.

  • On the way to the Blue mountains we have the option of seeing native animals (echidna, kookaburra, dingo, kangaroo to name a few) at the Featherdale Wildlife Park. Let us know if you would like to add this to the day.
